Functional Design

Functional Design a Story derived from my own personal experiences in coming out to friends and family. Although the internal conflict addressed in this animation deals with issues of sexual identity, my hope was to share a universal message about the Importance of being honest with yourself and the people you love. Functional Design was selected to be in the 2007 Seattle gay & lesbian festival, and will be screened in April at the 2008 Film Out San Diego Festival. Animated on tracing paper and rendered in colored pencil and ink.
